Songsmith

Christian Kang is a singer songwriter who seeks to write music in its most intimate and universal forms. For years he has been developing his craft as a songwriter by blending the nuances of jazz, the soul of blues, and the storytelling of folk to create melodically rich and distinctively stirring music. Drawing from his belief that the miraculous is present in the commonplace, Christian’s music is often expressed in vignettes of seemingly ordinary experiences. It is through these songs that Christian hopes to let his listeners know that they are not alone.

In 2013, Christian was a finalist in the annual Asian-American talent competition, Kollaboration Seattle, which is part of the larger international Kollaboration movement that spans fourteen major cities across North America. As a budding singer songwriter, Christian has already shared the stage with many prominent artists such as Kenny Choi (Daphne Loves Derby, Wolftron), New Heights, and Jeremy Passion. He also had the distinct honor of performing on stage with multi-Grammy Award-winning blues singer-songwriter Keb' Mo'. Christian is currently writing and recording music for his YouTube channel.
